How often can I apply for a uniform grant?
Each individual child can have a uniform grant once every 2 years.
Can I apply for more than one child?
Yes, you can apply for each child in your household that meets the eligibility criteria.
How do I get the grant if I am eligible?
If you awarded a grant you will receive a confirmation letter, which you will need to present to SW Schoolwear in Taunton. All uniforms must be redeemed from SW Schoolwear and no payments are made directly to applicants.
How do I know if I live in the right catchment area?
Your child must live in or attend secondary school in the area in red on this map
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is money given to schools to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities achieve their full potential. You normally qualify Pupil Premium if your child received free school meals.
Can I still apply if my child lives in the right catchment area, but attends secondary school outside of it?
Yes you can still apply however where your child goes to school may affect your application.
Will I definitely get a grant if I am eligible?
Grants awarded are always subject to the number of applications received and available funds at the time. If you are unsuccessful in your application for a grant, we will write to you explaining why.
